to join our Studio overlooking Sussex Park in Woodstock, Cape Town.

We work across some of the most challenging, interesting, and meaningful projects both locally and internationally, including world class WSUD interventions on housing estates and urban plazas, heritage wine estates, river rehabilitation, ecological restoration, school and campus master-planning, roofscapes, regional and urban parks and plazas, visual impact assessments, street furniture and play-scape design and manufacturing.

The Role

Landscape Architects are expected to collaborate with the team members in a studio-like environment to develop projects from conceptual design to construction administration.  You will be involved in our mid to large complex new build projects through all of the SACLAP stages and report back to the relevant project manager/ associate and director.  Applicants should be qualified landscape architects and have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role. You should demonstrate leadership qualities and have strong detailing ability, technical expertise and project management skills.

  • Two years minimum experience in mid to large scale urban and rural projects
  • Possess a strong passion for design
  • Proficiency in design programmes including AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, InDesign and SketchUp, is preferable
  • Good communication skills are required, including well-developed written, visual and verbal capabilities
  • Collaborative – you must be able to work effectively with others to help achieve the best solution for the project team, the wider design team and the client
  • Candidates must feel comfortable in a creative, complex and dynamic environment
  • Exhibit leadership qualities through taking initiative; problem solving; showing assertiveness and enthusiasm
  • Be self-directed and highly motivated
  • Be a team player with a positive outlook
